Note: One LARGE remains, without sash. If you order, it is for a dress without the sash you see in the photographs. Currently out of fabric to sew more, this style will return in Fall 2018.
This dress appeared in the Philadelphia Phashion Phest fashion show and Old City Fest Fashion Show.
This dress is called "symphony length" here in the workshop. It will fall just below mid-calf on most women. With princess seams to shape it, it graces a women's curves and is magic on the hips. Go ahead, sway. A flounce toward the hemline swishes with movement. 3/4 sleeve covers elbow. Highest neckline on this one, too. Classic.
It drapes outward just above the waistline to cling less in the midsection, but expect a CLOSE FIT in the bust and upper torso when worn true to size. (the model pictured is wearing larger than her usual size, and it's looser than you should expect when true to size) It does not contain Spandex. Many National Picnic fans prefer a loose fit, and most other styles fit looser than this one.
This merino knit blend is rich looking, low wrinkle, warm, and washable. (Others use this fabric for skiing sportswear.)
There are similar National Picnic dress styles available in different fabrics with slightly different details. Read each listing carefully for notes on how each fabric can affect fit.
