The signature National Picnic tee is reinvented regularly with a series of new fabric combinations each season.
This particular fabric combo:
"1950's Vintage Fabric Signature Tee" : Special! This sleeve is cut from never previously used (a.k.a."new old stock" or "dead stock") yardage vintage fabric, most likely from the 1950s. It has a black, pink and white on olive color palette. As you can guess, there isn't much of it and when it's gone, it's gone. The fabric was discovered in mint condition.
It's been paired with an olive cotton/hemp/spandex blend knit shell, one of the thicker fabrics used in the signature tees and drapes further away from the body (clings less) than some of the rayon versions.
You could say this tee has a "boyfriend fit", but don't think it's unisex, it's been designed for a woman's curves.
It's designed to drape loosely over the torso when worn true to size. It's not meant to fit snugly, but the rule of thumb is order down if you want some curves around the bust. If tight is how you roll, this is not the tee for you.
Fabrics used in my signature tees are often small batches of garment industry surplus, they can vary slightly in drape and feel, which can make a version appear to fit slightly larger or smaller—but know that each signature tee is cut from the same pattern. Differences are noted in each listing.
