A nostalgic wrap skirt design offered in seasonal plaids. A single unseamed swath of fabric sends the plaid radiating in several directions as it wraps around the waist for impressive visual effect.
The first two plaids listed are heavy flannel, with snuggly thickness and weighty drape. They resemble wool, but are cotton soft. Any chill to the air is the perfect forecast for these. These fabrics may feel a bit too warm for an unseasonably temperate autumn day.
Primary: Large plaid consisting of, you guessed it, primary colors. Blue, red, yellow with white. Heavyweight flannel.
Wine Buffalo: Traditional Buffalo Check Plaid in untraditional shades, wine and dark but muted pink. Heavyweight flannel.
Olive: An earthy olive base with peachy-tan, black, white yarn dyed plaid. This third fall choice is medium weight cotton twill (that isn't flanneled) and is lighter than the first two, a nice fall weight that can work on warmer days too.
Other plaids in differing fabric weights will debut as the seasons change.
This skirt is a true wrap style, overlapping in the front. Slotted opening for threading the belt through. It can be tied into a decorative bow at the back OR the ties can reach back around to the front for a shorter tie.
Front patch pocket is optional, will fit most cell phones. It's optional because without the pocket, the skirt has an elegant simplicity. A pocket detail adds casual-looking utility, but that may not be wanted for dressier events or office wear.
Yours may be made to order, allow 1-2 weeks to sew before shipping.
32" long skirt hits somewhere between mid calf and ankle on average heights. It wraps into a tall A-line (even the smallest size requires 3 yards of fabric to complete), evoking silhouettes popular in the 1970s. The suggestion of apron ties nods to a few other decades. It has a vintage air, but is sewn from fresh, new material.
High-waisted look—it is designed to tie at your natural waist.
Choose fit by your waist size, although it's the most adjustable item we make, it does come in a few sizes. The A-line hip area drapes freely.
Designed to fit several sizes with the same skirt, there is some overlap between sizes we call "smaller" and "larger". On the cusp: If you would describe yourself as a "thick-middled" size large, "larger" will overlap more for you. If your body is a size large and a breezy day shows a little leg, are you OK with that? You probably are OK with "smaller".
For "Plus" sizes, please add your waist measurement in the "message" section of your order, your skirt will be made to measure.
100% Cotton Machine wash cold on delicate. Smooth with hands while damp and dry flat or draped across a drying rack. Avoid hanging from the waist while wet to prevent distortion. Iron with cotton setting, with steam is OK. Made in the USA of imported fabric.
