The shorter version, this skirt is 22 inches long, that's 10" shorter than Josie's Apron Tie Skirt. The fabric weight is particularly comfortable for the hottest days of summer.
This skirt wraps into an A-line shape, evoking silhouettes popular in the 1970s. The suggestion of apron ties nods to a few other decades. It has a vintage air, but is sewn from fresh, new, lightweight but lasting fabrics.
Made from the same linen/cotton Swiss Dot fabric, it features the same generous waist tie that looks cute tied behind the back, apron style, it is also long enough to be wrapped twice around to tie at the front. High-waisted look—it is designed to tie at your natural waist.
Be aware that on your lower half, swiss dot fabric can show the outline of your legs when back-lit, or hint at the color of your undergarments. The overlap of the skirt front provides a natural self lining in the front. Wear skin-toned undergarments, or a half-slip, to tame show through in the back. The darker color Blue Dot hides naturally hides more than Confetti's lighter color.
Choose fit by your waist size, although it's the most adjustable item we make, it does come in a few sizes. The A-line hip area drapes freely.
Designed to fit several sizes with the same skirt, there is some overlap between sizes we call "smaller" and "larger". On the cusp: If you would describe yourself as a "thick-middled" size large, "larger" will overlap more for you. If your shape carries more in the hips, you probably are OK with "smaller".
For "Plus" sizes, please add your waist measurement in the "message" section of your order, your skirt will be made to measure.
